the sea was angry that day my friend.....

Well, the seas were very angry the last few days bitches. They are quite calm now, almost looking like they are frozen still in the growing twilight, but on Tuesday the tide was running backward, the wind off the land was driving the waves back out to sea. It was really cool to watch and even cooler if you went out in it .... -30's with the wind chill and nothing like the dry arctic air I'm used to. The spray was blowing in the wind and with a touch of snow flurries it was hard to tell if if was snow or spray in the air.

The view on Tuesday from my front window, looking toward Newfoundland.

(Click on the pic for a larger view.)

That's a composite pic from three shots I took, if looks a little off color wise and a wire or two are not lined up perfectly thats why. But it really gives a better panorama view to the shot so sue me if you don't like it. Well three people read this, maybe only one or two now, it's hard to say without a comments window. I'm still working on that.

Tired of typing, gotta go up to the 'rents for a fine haddock dinner, blog again later maybe!!

Wednesday, January 28, 2009

Wow, just changed the settings and the template for my blog - I may try to get back into blogging since I have internet in my room next to the palace in Wapasu - and I've found that numerous things have disapearred like my links and my comments feature and a few other things as well. The price of progress I guess.
And it's time to work on a new banner pic, I guess. The reaper was getting old and the tiny java scrpit which made it look left and then right on mouse over was more annoying than anything! lol I'll have lots of time for that when I get back out west.

Yes out west, for those of you (and by 'you' I mean the three people who read this page by accident or otherwise.) who don't know, I'm home for a little bit...two weeks to be exact. I am among the luck ones who have a return ticket to Firebag to finish up work for Suncor on thier stage 2 VRU and SRU projects.(vapour recovery and sulphur recovery units)
It can be stressful working in an environment where you're paycheck and in some cases 'WHO' you are is directly tied to every whim of the shareholders and the board of directors who are only worried about the dollars they are not making...not the dollars that they are. But such is the oil patch. It's always been this way and it always will be.
Though I secretly consider myself a veteran of the patch I am by no means as thoroughly versed in the 'ups and downs of capital investment/oil prices vs. whether or not I am working today' as some. But I have been around long enough to accept the situation as it comes to me. I've known the risks, placed my money down and spun the big roulette wheel of employment chance and so far it's all worked out to the status quo if not to my slight advantage...but the odds always lie with the house and I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.
And that bitches, is where the stressful work environment comes from. As much as I know things could change in a minute, (before I get around to posting this I may be unemployed) it's the not knowing when that puts your finances on hold and your life in limbo. I've heard different things from different people, we have work until October, work til August, work til July. Blah Blah Blah. It means nothing when we can be shut down at anytime, no apologies to anyone involved, just thanks for coming out, we'll call you when we need you again.
I consider myself lucky to have a job right now and every day they pay me to insulate and clad pipe up there is a bonus day.

Enough rambling for now. More rambling to come. Maybe later, maybe tomorrow, life's just that uncertain right now bitches.

The Mask

After all the different oil field things I've done working for sooooo many different companies over the years out here, it's hard to believe it but today was the first time I've ever had to mask up and work in a H2S situation. It wasn't that bad except for me being told we wouldn't have to work under air, so I didn't bother to shave and almost couldn't get a seal on my mask, which would have prevented me from working on this site today. Not a good impression the first time you meet the new operators at a gas plant.
But anyway, I did get a positive seal (as compared to the bi-polar ones) Jesse and I did the job, replaced the glycol pump and got out of there for a 5 hour day, with 10 hours pay. I love double time Sundays, and time and a half Saturdays are great too. We got 11 hours of time and a half on Saturday. BC has the best labor laws for oil field workers anywhere.
But ya, another day, another job well done but more importantly another task I had not attempted before, completed quickly, safely and at a fiscal positive.

It's real late right now, just got of the phone with my girl, long and late tonight, but a real good talk, and I have work in 6 hours so I will leave you alone with your thoughts for now. Till then.

The Good The Bad and The Ugly.

Well we got the washin ma chine the other day and things are sparkling here now. Clean underwear all around. And some smiles too. It's a big one, it'll fit all my coveralls and work clothes in one load and almost all of my other clothes in another. Wicked.

Working on a crew truck now, twisting wrenches and maintaining 3 or 4 different oilfields for a coupla companies. The money is awesome, but I've only got 18 days until I up and leave for home. The job MAY be available when I get back, but we aren't sure yet. Where was this job three or four months ago? Things would be so much easier if I had of done this for the winter and spring too. Crap.

Saw a bear today on the roadside, just a little one, 2 or 3 years or so. And a deer laying down on a pile of dirt, weird stuff.

That's all I can be bothered to type today!

Ahhha, finally something new. A new cartoon and a daily at that. It was a little wide so I had to adjust the columns a teency weency bit, but it's all good now. Things fit and it's not too outta shape. At least not on my browser. Poor ol' biff sniff was brighter and added some color but went the way of the dinasaur a while back.
This cartoonstock toon is a daily instead of a weekly so it might make ME post a little more often than once a month, though I doubt it.

Down to my last pair of clean underwear, (I don't flip them over like some guys do) and either I have to make the trip to the laundramat or get out the scrub brush and use a little elbow grease. The washing machine went caput over a month ago and while we had wheels we were able to drive up to the laundry, but the thought of walking there with laundry and back with wet clothes really does nothing for me. I might end up cabbing it up there and back, add twenty dollars to the cost of the laundry....grrrr. I don't know what to do yet. I could go commando I guess, it is summer. With fresh breezes blowing by my knees.... ya.

Catching up

It seems I suck pretty bad at updating this thing. Well what am I supposed to do, with all the facebooking I've had to do lately. I mean where am I to find the time? Just not enough minutes in the day these days. I'll try and make up for it now.

19 years years since I graduated high school and somehow it all seems like yesterday thanks to facebook. (theres that word again) Kinda nice to see what everyone's been up to since our release date, well some went on to graduate at other places so they've only been really free for at the most 15 years, some even less I bet. (and some got married and will never be free...hehehe)

I had a long-ish conversation on Facebook with Michelle from my grad class about tattoos and it just sparked the fire I once had to become a walking piece of art, not really but....yeah pretty much. I have 4 or 5 more tats planned in the next few years and can't wait to get started on them.

Guess who has VIP seats to see Aerosmith in PEI, thats right! Me, my baby and 6 of our friends will be drunk on Aerosmith's wine and stuffed fat on their crab legs and veggie trays. I hope we get T-shirts too. It'll be a great weekend road trip, we got cottages booked 15 minutes outside of Charlottetown and Maria's mom is going to be the designated driver to and from the show. Going to be a great time. Look on Facebook for the pictures. (facebook, facebook, facebook!!)

Well, it's late and I'm tired and I'm really boring to read lately. My creativity is at an all time low, well I wrote a brand new song from scratch today. I just need 2 more lines and it's done. I started another new one and rewrote a few lines from an older one so I'm kinda drained right now. I might post them if I get the time to record them some time soon.

Till later on,

Blogging Vs. Facebook

Facebook has become a seriously disruptive part of my life and I really can't explain why. Hi5 was never really this crazy and even Myspace, with all it's indie music and band sites really didn't turn my crank like this. I end up browsing around and looking at the same pictures over and over again somehow expecting them to change, but the thing is, sometimes they do.

New comments are added and profiles are updated and things seem to change pretty quickly - holding my interest not unlike a big screen TV with Swedish porn playing at a bachelor party. You just can't look away. Not for long anyway.

Well look away I did and for quite a bit of time now. I promised to be back on the blog and so I am. Let them come to me. They have my link on my facebook profile, so they should come to me, see how much fun it is to blog and join up, create their own blog and leave the facebook behind, making it succesively less appealing to me as more and more people drop out off 'The Book'.

Yeah I don't think that's going to happen.

I gotta go see if anyone poked me back yet today. But I will be back. I'll always be back. Because I love you more than I love them. That's right, I may stray but dosent it mean something that I keep coming back to my first and only love. You're damn right it does. I love sitting here in the dark, auxillary light from my web cam aimed at my keyboard, typing pointless drivel which probably won't be read. Why I don't know. But I do. And thats what matter's. Be back soon.

runner's lament

Runner's Lament

I see people running by
but still I stand,
With a tear in my eye,
and dish towel in hand,
looking out the kitchen window,
Oh, how I long for my running shorts.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I left all of my running gear at home, thinking foolishly that I would not be able to run at all this winter. I got to camp and sure enough a couple of guys and one or two girls were running on a regular basis. They had a 5K mapped out along the bush roads and hit it nearly everyday after work.
Well if I felt a little left out then, talking to these people about running but not actually joining them, imagine how I feel now. Every half hour people are running by the house here. It's on a corner in a busy section just outside of town, but it's also on the way to the biking/hiking/walking/running trail which leads all over the place up here.
This time though, it's 15 degrees outside and had I known I'd still be here I would have brought my gear and whould be running. No, I'm too damn cheap to buy more running gear when I know I have gear at home. I'm also too damn cheap to have Maria send it to me.
The only thing that makes up for not running is the mini home gym they have set up in their basement. Mind you there's no treadmill or eliptical or heavy bag, but more than enough weight and dumbells to keep me occupied for now.
Until the day I finally snap and buy some running pants or shorts and shoes. But that might also be the day I finally snap and run amuck with a meat cleaver. Sometimes snapping is not a good thing.
Look what I Found
True to my word, this time around at least, I have come back only days after my last post. Arent'cha proud of me. Yeah, OK. In my recent travels around the web I have found something out there in the wide world of Youtube that is some amazing talent with a guitar. Check out the video. I've been playing guitar over 20 years and I can't do any of this stuff, it wasn't in the manual when I started out.
And this one is pretty amazing too. I hope he gets paid for this cause it must've taken him sooooooo much time to figure these things out and practice to get them perfect.
Almost a full year
Well...it's been almost a full year since I said I was going to overhaul my blog and start over. A full year and I haven't put a single line down (hanging my head in shame). But ya know...I kinda like the design. After spending a year away from it, it's not that bad. So I will keep the design , and I will start blogging again, hopefully more often than once a year.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Facebook is all the rage nowadays huh. Went from one or two friends to having a ....bunch more than a few almost overnight. Seems like everybody who was on MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Hi5, MySpace and every other social networking website out there hopped on over and created a page. It is different but it is also very much the same.
I'm not complaining about how many options we have to check up on our friends and see how popular they are, I like these sites. They take me away from reality for a little bit, catching up with old friends is great, seeing pictures of them and their kids is cool, and I'm on all of them somewhere. But this Facebook thing was cool enough to get Maria to sign up when she usually doesn't go for any internet activities as they cut into 'Grey's Anatomy' time. So Facebook wins for coolest soc-net site so far, but it'll never beat out blogging for actually being cool.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm in North Eastern B.C right now, missing home and wishing this wasn't such a shitty winter out here. Not as much work as last year and it'll take another while before I get to our house and home to my family. It will all work out in the end but the end is still weeks away. The light at the end of the tunnel is but a spec on the windshield of the motor scooter that carries me home to you. Faster, faster please.
New blog's a commin' soon!
I haven't posted anything on here in so long I've decided to just drop the whole design and start from scratch and get something a little more interesting on the go. It'll take a bit of time and I think I'll be setting it up on it's own domain and server so I can stop hot linking the friggin pics.
Check back soon - If anybody is still checkin at all that is.
rain rain go away
It may be better than snow when it's falling and your driving in it and don't have to shovel it but once that friggin rain makes it's way into my basement, I really wish it was a snow bank outside the house somewhere. Looks like I realy have to go and get a basement for this place and soon. Hmmmm. Guess I should get a roof for it too while I'm there.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Work is busier than hell, and since we are managed by monkeys they had me sign off - end of shift - and sign into another department a good dozen times today, effectively ending my pursuit of lifting my average to loftier limits and earning a ballot for the "win a computer for Christmas" contest they have on the go right now. I just may have to become a complainer on this one.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The windows are being battered by remenants of Hurrican Wilma this evening but they are holding steady. We battened down the hatches and they are water tight. The fuckin wall switches are the problem. Looking into a wall switch here is like flipping the nozzle of the hand dryer at MacDonalds - or playing the Four Horsemen on Eleven - blows back the hair dude. I gotta get under that porch and plug it up with insulation before it gets too late and we're stuck like this til spring.
Well, my time is through
Sunday, October 23, 2005
It's been over a month since I've been here. Eh. Sorry. (thats mainly for me) Too long, too much time, too lazy to stand up straight most nights after working 8 hours then coming and puttin in another few on the house. Then it's straight to bed , do not pass go, no computer for you, sleep now so you can get up and do it all over again the next day. Sad but a necessary evil.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well last night was the first time in a while we took a night off together and went out and actually did something. Got together with Sandra and Scott and went to the Boston Pizza in Sydney for starters, good food good beer good company, cute wait staff - good time was had by all. And then off to the Sandbar, yes the old haunt - havent been there on a Saturday night since summer. And now I know why - there was 6 people there when we go there at Midnight on a Saturday night. Terrible.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, it's a short update, have to go and eat steak with the parents, but I'll be posting some pics of the house on here soon. Just got to spend a few more sleepless nights pounding away at 'er and all will be well.
Bye
friday is myday
The biff sniff toon rocks, eh? That's my type of humour. Wash, Dry and Irony.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Watched Farhenhite(?) 9/11 tonight again on the dish. Ya just forget so much of what's on there. I gotta buy it so I can watch it when ever I want to feel like I know better than millions upon millions of American citizens. "Fool me once...."! Indeed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Work is busy again, would have been busier 'cept with alot of some southern states under water, not as many people are worried about what thier wardrobe contains. Funny, all of a sudden America cares about it's homeless and are providing clothes, shelter, food and money. People all over America need this kind of help every day and it takes a storm of biblical proportions - predicted well in advance, and I might add, with evacuation suggestions - to bind all of us together in an effort to help those who did not flee the face of certain doom. It's a shame.
September's PC Jamboree
Building a linux box and I keep running into problems with parts being spread all over the house and the town. Couldn't install the power supply til I got a bag of screws from the old abode. Found then in a drawer under some ribbon data cable, spent the extra time looking for anything else I may need to get this project off the ground and walked away with an extra screwdriver (just incase).
It was late when I got home so, waited til the next night (tonight) to put it all together. After figuring out where to ground the power switch and securing the hinged fold out tray, after removing all 3 cards from the motherboard, I got the power supply installed, powerswitch hooked up and power to the board. When I attempted to hook up the drives I realized I was missing quite an important piece of the PC puzzle. The friggin ribbon data cables.
Too late tonight to continue with that, and got a busy day tommorrow so this may take sometime to get on the go. It's not reall a powerhouse anyway - Pentium 166. Hey! It's upgradable to a 266!! 64 Mbs of rockin SIMM RAM!! and the kicker....wait for it.....wait for it....a 3.4 Gig hard drive. Yes, 3.4G, I did not forget a zero. I installed XP on it the other day, before deciding linux would be a better fit - literally - and the XP took up pretty much half of the entire drive. Every thing else is great , at least they all work, no matter how slowly.
September's North Wall Jamboree
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We were gonna simply skim coat some of the old plaster on the stair and the upstairs landing to smooth it out for painting and general asthetics, but decided to double check for insulation being only 300 meters from the Atlantic Ocean and prevailing -20 degree winter winds, not to mention the cost of oil these days.

Well, after a few hammers went into the wall it looked like we were lied to and there was nothing blown into those walls but hot air, so away we go ripping and tearing the plaster from the lath andfinding so much insulation that we are gonna be able to do the attic with it!

Yea, where we knocked holes happened to be just below where the confetti had bunched up and stopped falling.

But it went smooth and now we know for a fact, it's R20 on the coldest wall in the house and it's half hung with Gyprock already. We'll have it painted before long and finally have the entire downstairs, stairway, landing, bathroom, and two of three bedrooms finished. Me and the G/F can suffer in our late eighties, bowerytown, junkie/crackhead crashpad looking bedroom colored a pale crystal blue, speckled with chucks of 85 year old immoveable wallpaper and lightly spotted with bare plaster and lath. Groovy baby.

Gotta go.

robinson should be out of a jobinson

"You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it.

It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war ... and I don't think any oil shipments will stop. But this man is a terrific danger and the United ... this is in our sphere of influence, so we can't let this happen.

We have the Monroe Doctrine, we have other doctrines that we have announced. And without question, this is a dangerous enemy to our south, controlling a huge pool of oil, that could hurt us very badly.

We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability.

We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator. It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with."

These are just some quotes from neo-nazi, uh uh...I mean Christian leader Pat Robinsons 700 club show. Maybe if he had asked God to assasinate Venezuel's President Chavez it might have been acceptable, but to call on the state department and start to question oil shipments in the same breath pretty much puts in black and white what this clown and his cowboy president are all about. OIL. Saudi's are talking to Chavez and Robinson's rich and powerful friends are starting to sweat. They might be the only ones who can afford to have the heat up high enough to break one.

Thats it, nothing more, fuck Iraqi's, fuck Afghanistanians, and any body else who needs help. They don't really care aboub them - they don't matter now and didn't matter then. They are all expendable human lives on the path to make daddy's friends rich. Even the next door neighbour boy who is now in a body bag is just another brick in the wall of Bush's quest for the riches of the mysterious middle-east. Face it. If there was no Oil, like Rowanda or Bosnia would there be hundreds of dead Americans and Iraqi's in the middle east? No. If there was no US Army, would Bush ever have been able to finally have run an oil country , I mean oil company to a profit. Well wait now. Guess you can't sell stock in a country and bail out to leave thousands to foot the bill on this one Georgie. Looks like this tally will be millions of taxpayers paying for you to get rich before your done.

Not only do I hate him for what he has done around the world, I hate him for raising the bile in my stomach to new hieghts, and making me do this entire political post thing. Shame on you Georgie. Eat your baloney.

Ok, so I got rid of the Anna Coracopia faded water color that was the side bar for almost two weeks and went bavk to the reaper I had for all those years. BUT with a twist - or a flip if you will. My problem is that I don't know which was better, the reaper looking away as if he were ashamed or even frightened by what I had written (probably ashamed) or the reaper looking at the post as if he were interested in the babblings of a middle-aged underwear salesman.

HELP! What do you think is better. Put your mouse over the image to change it and let me know which way he faces looks better. Click the comments link below to post your opinion. Thanks.

So it will be hard to go back to work on monday for me, after having friday and half of thursday off, due to the virus which hit a few of the networks and puters using win2K. In fact, I may just go in to be sent home again because of the no email situation which was so preventable it's not even funny. To quote the Larry Seltzer tech guy, "the stupidest firewall in the world would block this worm from spreading and only Windows 2000 systems are vulnerable." but somehow....Aww nevermind. You know where I'm gooing with that. We got no techs cause they do not want to spend any money over there. A simple windows update would have prevented me and well the rest of the dotcom department from loosing all that time off. I have vacation time to fill in the blanks for my paycheck, but alot of people don't. It affected us because we have to connect to an external mail server and they didn't want our worms. Nice. Well, Oilfield here I come.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do ya see these religious gurus in the south, with thier mega-mall cookie cutter soul saving techniques, moving toward a Christian controlled government, bringing in to the pulpit, the representative with the waning support in the senate, to bolster thier popularity. What a sham. And these 99% white southern people with money and time to burn jump right on thier bandwagon and wave thier banners. It's such a crock of shit. Lets pray for another vacancy on the Supreme Court. Where the vacancies come when somebody currently holding a seat dies!! Praying to God on National T.V for a Supreme Court Justice to die. They are not the people who should be running the country on my southern border I tell ya.
I'd rather have Satanists in the White House than these 700Club rejects. Maybe then there could be some middle east peace and a decent price on a barrel of oil. The Christians haven't done a damn thing good for North America, the U.S. itself or the world in general during thier time as the powerfull leaders of the free world. Satanists or maybe even Buddhists. The muddy middle of the road can't get it together, so they shold go with one of the extremes - Hell they gave bush another four years, they could at least try a pentagram in the oval office, or passive resistance in Iraq.
Time for bed.
New post
Yes, it's a new post.
Finally got the lawn mowed, finally got the mower fixed! Thanks Frankie, though you will never even know there are such things as blogs, I'll let a (very small portion of) the World know that you fixed my mower. Thanks.
Went to Ingonish this weekend and we drank ourselves sick, awsome time though, I was sick on Friday but on Saturday we found the natural rock waterslide and tried it out. It was awsome and so painless it was kinda scary at first, but not really scary at all.
Then we got ticketed by a park ranger - who obviously got beat up alot as a teenager, and definately didn't get invited to any parties at all - for exiting through a path which would take about an hour off our travel. Yeah, it was marked but not exactly clearly when you get down to trying to decipher the legalese involved. The herefortowith's and pursuant to section 13a kinda boggle the mind and ya just keep on walkin.
Anyway he was nice enough not to ticket all 6 of us and we can all split the ticket with my brother who took the one ticket he was handing out. The 40 bucks each is really worth the hassle of walking all the way back down the river the way we came. But next time it will be the long way home for all of us. Thats like 6 24's of worth the beer money, or a really nice night out to dinner up there. I hate paying for other peoples salary's.
The waves in Black Brook Beach were huge and cheap styrofoam boogieboards were all the rage. We all got trounced by mother nature for an hour and a half - went back to the Inn and took 6 showers - which apparently the plumbing wasn't ready for two days in a row - caused a leak in the system in one of the subfloors somewhere, shorted out the main floor electrical in the kitchen and maintenance end of the Inn. Don't know if we'll be allowed back to that particular Inn, but it was fun, a nice place to stay and affordably priced, so it will be the first place we call next time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Still waiting on the final legalities of owning this place, can't wait for that to be done, sign the last piece of paperwork and get to paying off some bills and probably going back out west for a better paying job yet, though it is not set in stone or anything else as of yet. We need to put a basement under this thing and it's going to be anywhere from 15 - 20, 000 more dollars I don't have right now and looking at a 25 year mortgage is really looking at close to the rest of my life. So we need to pay for the basement with cash - or minimal bank involvement - to keep everything else in line as far as payments go, and refinancing or eventually buying out the original is a question as well. But that will all be down the line a bit yet, I just can't wait for the final signature on the dotted one.

The fallout - reader discression - this one is all about work.

Well "the email" has caused some much feared static between the honchos and our little department. Seems our team coach was almost fired because he had email stored in his system which came from Adam, outlining some of the funnier email that have been sent our way. Of course this dosent seem that serious and in times of peace it probably wouldn't even raise an eyebrow, but, since "the email" was sent all treaties are off.

Instead of every 10th or 15th email being filtered out of the flow and scanned for Quality control, it's now every fucking one of them. Every message which leaves the building as well as, I'm sure, every internal message as well, fine toothed combed to try and find any possible leak of "the email" which has supposedly been removed from existance. It's like being in Bush's Army. Maybe they think the next disgruntled employee will send a similar message to a customer where they can't get at it. Hey, it could be worse...we could be working for the US Postal Service. Then they might have a reason to get thier hackles up. LOL When I do leave it'll be under my own power and most will never know I was ever there let alone gone.

When I left Stream I posted a message here and C&P'd to Hi5 as well, but for the most part, it was two weeks before management knew I wasn't coming back, and I still meet people, a year later, who ask if I'm still there cause they don't see me round no more. There was no security escort with a box of my shit, no formal tag confiscation, and no hubabaloo. And I way hated that place more, well not the job, or the other workers, but management and the company policies for sure.

I don't mind my job, although it's becoming a bit monotonous, it's still just right up the alley for a lazy shit like me. The only thing that sucks is the workers at the other centers are all dumb as bricks and think by lying to us when they transfer a customer through to us, that they are getting away with something scandalous. I can here them now, "I told him the customer axed for help on the web site when he really wanted to place an order." Well, "HAHAHAHAHA", Says I, with a wicked gleam in said same. "I took your Job!! And now your going to get back at me by giving me more work?? And in the process proving to the quality monitoring department that you didn't deserve the job in the first place. Bring it on, and don't forget to cross your T's and dot your I's on your unemployment forms fuckers."

Enough about work, and there seems to be way too much awakeness right now too.
Gotta put a stop to that, nip it in the bud as they say. (I've been nipped in the bud and it ain't all that bad, as far as nippin goes.)

long time no post

Been a while since I've been here. Got my house got moved in anyway, still waiting for final closure though. Overlooking the atlantic ocean and cliffs and breakers and swells, fishermen tending to thier traps in the early A.M. Gotta love it. The view from my bathroom window alone is spectacular. We're going with a second floor balcony on the back of the house to capitalize on the view.

What a pain in the ass to get to this point though. Couldn't get anytime off work all the scheduals were booked. So we got up and worked from 9am on the house, I went home at 1 pm to get ready for work, worked 2:30 - 11pm, went home and changed and went back to the house til 4 am, home for a few measley hours of sleep only to rinse and repeat as necessary til now.

I actually had two days off in that week, but I had to call in sick to get them, and then - you guessed it - I got sick, friggin 10 day flu hit me like the proverbial ton o' bricks and I couldn't really stop working when the house was full of people helping out, painting and edging and plastering and mowing and trimming so I was beating the proverbial shit out of myself day after day and still haven't really gotten over it. But we are in.

There's still alot to do to be finished, if there ever really is such thing, but now we can pick at it and actually get more than 4 hours sleep at night. But thats what has kept me from updating here the last month.

Thanks to Maria's mom and uncle, dad and step mom, sister and daughter, my mom, sister and brother, cousin shawn, ndn dwight and our friends scott, dnet, and devon we got this place beaten into "live in" shape in just seven days. Thanks to all involved - it could not have been done with out you.

So goodbye to Adam, he is headed out west, going to work on the rigs and as seems to be the only way to actually quit a call center these days, weather a notice is given and served or not, he wrote up quite an interesting goodbye mail, slamming every aspect of day to day company dealings , policies and procedures for dealing with both customer and employees. Then Adam proceeded to mail this goodbye letter, not only to "all" at our center, but to the warehouse, the other call centers, corporate and business offices in Virginia and New York. Every person in the company was mailed a copy of what is quickly becomming know as "the letter".

I personally did not get to read this email because the entire company, especially our office and department was running around like the proverbial chicken with it's head cut off all day long. They pulled it from everybodys email inbox, then they rummaged through each and every garbage can, shredder can and desk drawer in the building trying to make sure there was no hard copies created, floating around. I understand it would be not only an undermining statement, very bad for business to have released to the general public, and a probable morale killer for the enternal employees but also from what I have heard of this email, there are no lies or falshoods or fully libelous statements contained therein. Apparently he did not make accusations without first adding words such as "I don't know for sure", "probably", and "I guess".

I know Adam would not be happy that the message was removed from the inbox before most people could read it, but he would have appriciated the tizzy it sent these upper level management types into, searching through garbage cans and inspecting torn and shredded bits of paper to try and discern thier origin, content and final, if any, destination after being printed.

My only fear is that he may have placed our entire department in jepardy, and under a microscope when somebody has to pay for the truth being told.
