Firebag

After the safety meeting this morning we stretch, grab our tools (not those tools!) And head over to the VRU where we are working and it turns out that there is an H2S alarm going off. It sounds like a mid-pitch whine from a large motor or high pressure pipeline goong about it's everyday activities.
It's supposed to tell us that we may END UP DEAD if we enter that area!
Christ, I was strapping on my knee pads and someone hollared to us to get out of there. They should have an alarm that subconciously flashes the skull and crossbones image in your head and not one that sounds like the everyday plant operations. My little rant for today.
