long time no post

Been a while since I've been here. Got my house got moved in anyway, still waiting for final closure though. Overlooking the atlantic ocean and cliffs and breakers and swells, fishermen tending to thier traps in the early A.M. Gotta love it. The view from my bathroom window alone is spectacular. We're going with a second floor balcony on the back of the house to capitalize on the view.

What a pain in the ass to get to this point though. Couldn't get anytime off work all the scheduals were booked. So we got up and worked from 9am on the house, I went home at 1 pm to get ready for work, worked 2:30 - 11pm, went home and changed and went back to the house til 4 am, home for a few measley hours of sleep only to rinse and repeat as necessary til now.

I actually had two days off in that week, but I had to call in sick to get them, and then - you guessed it - I got sick, friggin 10 day flu hit me like the proverbial ton o' bricks and I couldn't really stop working when the house was full of people helping out, painting and edging and plastering and mowing and trimming so I was beating the proverbial shit out of myself day after day and still haven't really gotten over it. But we are in.

There's still alot to do to be finished, if there ever really is such thing, but now we can pick at it and actually get more than 4 hours sleep at night. But thats what has kept me from updating here the last month.

Thanks to Maria's mom and uncle, dad and step mom, sister and daughter, my mom, sister and brother, cousin shawn, ndn dwight and our friends scott, dnet, and devon we got this place beaten into "live in" shape in just seven days. Thanks to all involved - it could not have been done with out you.

So goodbye to Adam, he is headed out west, going to work on the rigs and as seems to be the only way to actually quit a call center these days, weather a notice is given and served or not, he wrote up quite an interesting goodbye mail, slamming every aspect of day to day company dealings , policies and procedures for dealing with both customer and employees. Then Adam proceeded to mail this goodbye letter, not only to "all" at our center, but to the warehouse, the other call centers, corporate and business offices in Virginia and New York. Every person in the company was mailed a copy of what is quickly becomming know as "the letter".

I personally did not get to read this email because the entire company, especially our office and department was running around like the proverbial chicken with it's head cut off all day long. They pulled it from everybodys email inbox, then they rummaged through each and every garbage can, shredder can and desk drawer in the building trying to make sure there was no hard copies created, floating around. I understand it would be not only an undermining statement, very bad for business to have released to the general public, and a probable morale killer for the enternal employees but also from what I have heard of this email, there are no lies or falshoods or fully libelous statements contained therein. Apparently he did not make accusations without first adding words such as "I don't know for sure", "probably", and "I guess".

I know Adam would not be happy that the message was removed from the inbox before most people could read it, but he would have appriciated the tizzy it sent these upper level management types into, searching through garbage cans and inspecting torn and shredded bits of paper to try and discern thier origin, content and final, if any, destination after being printed.

My only fear is that he may have placed our entire department in jepardy, and under a microscope when somebody has to pay for the truth being told.
